Note: I had previously identified the beauty on the left as Gaby Rodgers, but a viewer's comment caused me to revisit the question and I realized it was actually Cloris Leachman, making a big impression in her first credited big screen role.
Since it's Martin Luther King Jr. Day in the US, I thought it would be appropriate to highlight some of the early African American players that prepared the ground for the greater, although far from perfect, opportunities enjoyed in the entertainment industry today.
