The first thing to say is that you need to keep your skin as clean as possible. You can never expect to have fresh clear skin if it is not clean. In order to keep your skin as clean as possible you should make sure you never sleep in your make up. You should also make sure you clean your skin after playing sport or any other form of physical exercise. It is a good idea to use a gel cleanser that can be used in the shower on young skin. Remember to wash your face every morning and evening to keep it as clean as possible.
You need to make sure you keep a routine with your skincare, you can make it simple so that it is easy to stick to but you need to have one. The best thing to do is to cleanse and moisturise every morning and evening. You should also aim to use a gentle exfoliator 2 or 3 times per week to ensure you remove all the dead skin cells. If you have a problem with spots you may also want to add a spot treatment into your routine but I do not think it will be necessary. If you take care of your skin then that will naturally take care of the spots. You might also want to use a weekly face pack that helps to clean out your pores.
Make sure any moisturiser you use has an SPF of at least 15. This might seem strange and you won’t see the benefits now. However this will help your skin to remain young and fresh as you get older and believe me you will be very glad you did it. Also you don’t really want to give yourself sunburn and have to go around with a red face for a couple of days.
You should also be very careful with things that you put up to your face. For example you phone, if it is not clean then you can be adding dirt and causing breakouts of spots on your face. The same can be said for your clothes and hats which need to be kept clean. If you keep all of these items as clean as possible you may potentially be keeping your skin in tip top condition.
If you do suffer from spots, the last thing you should do is pick at them. This could result in scars and leave your skin permanently damaged. The best way to handle a spot is to simply get a top quality concealer that matches your skin colour and cover your spots properly. Having said that though, you should aim to cover your spots as little as possible. The more they get air the quicker they will go and the better you will feel.
We are aware your teenage years are difficult but be confident in yourself. Remember almost everyone suffers from spots at some point in their life or another, so if you have them you are probably not on your own.
